EMF Effects
How Much Daily EMF Radiations Are We Exposed To?
EMF stands for electromagnetic fields
We are permanently bombarded with a waterfall of electromagnetic, high energy radiation from cell phones, tablets, cell towers, transformers, WIFI devices, and more. With 5G being rolled out in the near future by virtually all providers, our bodies will be blanketed by a constant shower of energy pollution. EMF are created when we use electronic devices and power sources, including WIFI routers, cell phones, power lines, and electrical appliances.

EMF Effects on Sleep
While there is ongoing research and calls of action on the potential health effects of EMFs, there is already evidences to suggest that constant exposure to EMF fields can disrupt sleep quality.
Disruption of sleep can occur regardless sleep duration – study published as far as 2014 by National Library of Medicine. Here are a few ways in which EMFs might potentially interfere with sleep:
- Circadian Rhythm Disruption by exposure to artificial light emitted by electronic devices which can interfere with the body’s natural circadian rhythm. This can lead to difficulties falling asleep or maintaining a regular sleep schedule.
- Melatonin Suppression: Melatonin is an hormone that regulates sleep-wake cycles. Some studies suggest that exposure to EMFs, particularly blue light emitted by screens, can suppress melatonin production, making it harder to fall asleep.
- Increased arousal and stress: high levels of EMFs may induce a stress response in some individuals, leading to increased arousal and difficulty in achieving a relaxed state necessary to sleep.
- Sleep fragmentation: EMF exposure might contribute to sleep fragmentation, causing brief awakenings or disturbances throughout the night. These fragmentations can result in less restorative sleep and daytime fatigue.
- Psychological factors: in some cases, the fear or concerne about the potential health effects of EMFs can contribute to anxiety or stress, which can in turn interfere with sleep.
Others effects could include increased cancer risk, cellular stress, increase in harmful free radicals, genetic damages, structural and functional changes of the reproductive system, learning and memory deficits, neurological disorders, and negative impacts on general well-being in humans. Damage claim to be well beyond the human race, as there is growing evidence of harmful effects to both plant and animal life.
There are many ways you can protect yourself from EMFs. Some are reported on this website.
